Welcome to this Customer User Guide which relates to the updated iOS App for RTC Advisor, we have introduced some New Functionality and also system improvements within the application. 


The updated version is available within the Apple Store for download.


RTC Advisor - Real Time Communications



The 2 main points below will help you understand how to use and how to have the necessary set up for each new feature or improvement.

Please note that all the functions have been tested on previous  iOS versions up to and including the latest iOS 15.3.1 variant.

Improvements 

*Switch off new booking and booking management.


For sites that use only the eVHC system, the option is now available to switch off the Booking options on the Advisor App. The relevant buttons are now greyed out.

*Add a text field under the VHC label upon check out


During the checkout process we can now add a text field under the Vehicle health check label. This text field can be used to input the VHC T & Cs (Disclaimer) that already appears on the VHC check sheet. See highlighted red text in the below example

*Add booking status to the booking management/check in/check out screens


We have added the booking status to the Check In, Booking management and check out screens as this saves time having to open each booking to check the status

*Vehicle damage within Booking Management


Service advisors now have access to complete the vehicle damage check within the booking management screen  for vehicles that have not already had the damage check carried out. The "eye" icon shows that the check has not been completed.

*Improve notes facility in Advisor App


Added the option to add a note in the Advisor App the same way you can in Workshop Management. You can add a note to the Booking/Customer/Vehicle/Technician.

*Details not updating after going back to the customer details page


When updating customer details the changes would not save if you used the back buttons after selecting save. Changes are now updated from the point of selecting save

*Mandatory mileage capture upon check in


The mileage field can now be configured to be a mandatory requirement during the check in process, it will require the user to enter a value which will record the vehicles mileage on the system.

*Remove GDPR signature capture


GDPR signature capture is not a requirement and has been removed from the Advisor App's New Booking, Check In, Booking Management and Check out screens

*Add continue without agreement and last modified date


Continue without agreement and last modified date have been added to Advisor App, this information is collected from the Customer consent history that has been recorded within RTC.

*Grey out invoiced lines 


When a rebooked/rescheduled job is being checked in, any invoiced lines will be greyed out so that users cannot edit these. If a user clicks into a greyed out line it will be presented in read only and show information i.e labour code, hours, type and description.

*Signature not required if customer has checked in on line


As the customer has already signed during the online check in process we will no longer request the signature again

We will continue to collect a signature when adding work and completing a body check

*Ability to view Tech write-up in Advisor App


We have added the ability to view Tech Write - Up in the form of a pencil within the job lines. Click the line and it will open a pop up message displaying the Technicians text:


Advisor can view the notes by selecting the pencil

*Remove the payment method off the pre-book screen on the advisor app


Previously on the pre book screen in the Advisor App there was a Payment Method dropdown. We have removed this box from the page as it is not relevant at this stage in the booking.

*Update contact number field in WSM with preferred phone preference from Advisor App


During the check in process with the Advisor App, if the contact number has been updated, there is now an option to save the details.

*Amend offsite status order on advisor app


To enable a more streamlined Offsite process the order in which the statuses are displayed within the Advisor app has been modified to follow a more logical sequence.

*Remove the previous / Back button on Advisor App once it's checked in.


The previous button facility has been removed once a job is checked in on the Advisor App , This will prevent the user from going back and making changes that will be lost.

A further enhancement for using the Advisor App for a new or existing booking, is the system will now update the main workshop diary resource when adding an MOT line. Base on the workshop resource set up MOT bookings will now match the resource and number of MOT slots planned on any particular day.

Bug Fixes

Various bug fixes have also been applied to the 4.3.1 update.
